Type your page title, meta description and URL. See exactly how your page will look on Google, on desktop and mobile, and get a simple checklist to fix it before you publish.
How to Use This SERP Preview Tool
Add your title
Paste the meta title you plan to use. Watch the pixel bar. Green means it fits.
Add your description
Write one or two short sentences that tell the searcher what they get on your page.
Add URL and keyword
The URL shows as a breadcrumb. The keyword lets the tool check where you placed it.
Fix and copy
Clear every red and orange item, check the mobile view, then copy the text into your SEO plugin.
Why Google Cuts Titles by Pixels, Not Characters
Google shows titles in a box that is about 600 pixels wide on desktop. Wide letters like "W" and "M" take more space than "i" or "l". So two titles with the same 60 characters can look different: one fits, the other gets cut with "...". That is why this tool measures both characters and pixels.
| Part | Good length | What happens if it is too long |
|---|---|---|
| Meta title | 50–60 characters, under 580 px | Google cuts it with "..." and the searcher may miss your main point. |
| Meta description | 120–158 characters, under 960 px | The end of your message is hidden. Google may also write its own description. |
| URL slug | 3–5 words, lowercase, hyphens | Long, messy URLs look less trustworthy and are hard to share. |
Tips to Write Titles and Descriptions People Click
Meta title tips
- Put your main keyword at the start of the title.
- Write one clear title for one page. Do not repeat the same title on two pages.
- Add a reason to click: a number, the year, "free", or the place you serve.
- Keep your brand name at the end, only if there is space.
- Do not stuff the keyword two or three times. It looks like spam.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a SERP preview tool?
SERP means Search Engine Results Page. A SERP preview tool shows how your page title, description and URL will look in Google search results, so you can fix them before you publish.
Is this SERP preview tool free?
Yes. It is completely free, needs no sign-up and runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server.
What is the best length for a meta title?
Keep it between 50 and 60 characters and under about 580 pixels. Google measures width in pixels, so this tool shows both numbers.
What is the best length for a meta description?
Aim for 120 to 158 characters. Shorter descriptions look empty. Longer ones get cut on desktop and even more on mobile.
Will Google always show my meta description?
No. Google sometimes picks text from your page instead, especially when your description does not match the search. A clear description that matches the page content is shown more often.
Does the meta description affect rankings?
Not directly. But a good description gets more people to click your result, and more clicks bring more visitors from the same ranking.
