What is Open Graph?
A set of meta tags that controls how your link looks when shared on Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn and other apps: the title, description and image.
What size should an Open Graph image be?
1200 × 630 pixels (1.91:1) is the safest size. Keep it under 5 MB and use an https link.
Why is WhatsApp showing an old preview?
WhatsApp and Facebook cache previews. Run the link through Facebook's Sharing Debugger, or add a small query like ?v=2 to the link when sharing.
Do Open Graph tags help SEO?
Not directly in Google rankings, but better share previews get more clicks and visits from social media.
Do I need Twitter card tags too?
X (Twitter) can read Open Graph tags, but twitter:card is needed for the large image style. This tool adds both.
