If any website can be accessed by two or more URLs then canonical issues will arise. If these issues arise then Google Search Engine (SEO) penalized the website and down your website rank on SERP.
For Example
URL-1. https://digitalvishnu.in URL-2.https://www.digitalvishnu.in
When someone types these two URLs on Search Engine, both URLs will direct to the same website this means your site has some canonical issues.
How to Avoid:-To avoid the canonical issue, you have to fix one URL out of two in the Canonical tag option of your website so that Google can understand which one URL is virtual.
For example, most people think that the following URLs same:
- example.com/
- www.example.com/index.html
- example.com/home.asp
But technically all of these URLs are different.
